Peter Yakobe is a Development Economist with over thirteen years of experience designing, managing, and mobilizing resources for transformative initiatives across Africa. His work spans climate resilience, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, public policy reform, WASH, and anti-trafficking, with a particular focus on leveraging innovative financing and evidence-based solutions to accelerate socio-economic progress. He has led multi-million-dollar resource-mobilization efforts, advised governments in least developed countries on climate finance and development planning, and supported women-led enterprises in accessing capital through high-impact capacity-building programs. He is the author of Funding Handbook: Navigating Resources with Purpose, a widely used guide among development practitioners and senior government officials across Africa and Asia. Peter holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Texas Tech University (USA), and a Master of Arts in International Development Management from the University of Bradford under the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.
