The Center on Human Trafficking Research & Outreach (CenHTRO) at the University of Georgia (UGA) hosted the virtual Prevalence Reduction Innovation Forum: Results from the Field on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, from 9-11:30 a.m.

The conference shared the culmination of findings from innovative human trafficking prevalence estimation research projects, conducted simultaneously and under a common framework, around the world.

For the past three years, with funding from the U.S. Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, the Prevalence Reduction Innovation Forum (PRIF) has supported seven international teams of researchers in testing the effectiveness of various methodological approaches to measuring human trafficking in six countries.

Results from the Field featured a presentation from CenHTRO and PRIF Director David Okech on lessons learned and future directions, followed by presentations from the research teams. This conference also kicked off  the PRIF Learning Series, which in coming months will provide more in depth presentations of the results in each of the seven contexts.

U.S. Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons Cindy Dyer and UGA Provost S. Jack Hu will offer introductory remarks.
